2014 Artist Spotlight – Gegory DeTurck

Gregory DeTurck

Gregory DeTurck first performed with Dakota Sky in the summer of 2012, and presented a thrilling recital. A graduate of Julliard and Eastman School of Music, he has performed with the likes of the LA Philharmonic and the Minnesota Orchestra, as well as performing Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with the International Festival Orchestra Beijing. Gregory is a dynamic performer and educator, and is playing a program that ranges from Soler to Copland and Falla.

Mr. DeTurck will perform a solo Recital on Monday, June 16 at 7:30pm, and will also join the group of artists performing for the chamber music Salon Recital on Monday, June 23. We are also looking forward to his Seminar on the music of French composer Francis Poulenc, on Wednesday, June 18 at noon.

Gregory currently lives in Philadelphia, where he serves as faculty member in the Music Department at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Arts and Sciences.
